Discovering Shakespeare

The meetings will look at the historical and cultural context of his plays and the continuing relevance of his work today. His dramatic poetry and his unique use of language in both text and in performance will be explored.

We read and discuss a play by Shakespeare at our monthly meeting. It usually takes four sessions to finish a play. Our monthly play reading session in December will finish with the final Act of “Coriolanus”. In January we will begin “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.

We are full and there is a short waiting list of members who wish to join. Brian Levy

Leader: Brian Levy.
