Radlett & District

Art Workshop

We had our first meeting on Monday 20th June. Unfortunately we were very few but those of us who were there agreed it is a lovely venue and it would be good to continue meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month if we had sufficient numbers.

The next date would be Monday 18th July. If you would like to come on that day, please let me know by return. I need a firm commitment to attend/pay in advance before I book the room. It is simply too expensive to book the room and then have people default, I am sure you will appreciate that. As it stands, it is £8.00 per session. After July, there will be a gap until we can reconvene in September when I will also require a definite undertaking to come/pay in advance before I make a booking. Those dates will be: Monday 19th September. Monday 17th October. Monday 21st November
Either way, please do let me know via the Carrier Pigeon if you are interested or simply do not want to pursue or continue.

Have you always wanted to draw or paint? Maybe you already do but lack the space or incentive to indulge your hobby? Or maybe you just don’t know where to start.

Well, how about a Radlett and District u3a Art Group where one could meet, say once a month to discuss and exchange ideas, get inspiration and learn from one another and actually draw and/or paint?

One really needs very little by way of equipment to get going, paper, pencil and rubber will get you a long way. Then, once you have decided you like drawing you can always treat yourself to some more bits and pieces.

It’s the actual wanting to and actual doing that is the main ingredient.

If this idea appeals, please get in touch via the Carrier Pigeon.

We will need a regular group of a minimum of 10 people to pay for the room @ £8.00 per session.

I do hope you will join me and look forward to hearing from you.
