Welcome to the Quantock u3a, it may be just what you need!
u3a is a UK-wide network of learning groups run by and for members not in full time work. For information about u3a in general please take a look at the National u3a Website. The Quantock u3a aims to serve the villages in and around the Quantock hills, filling in the gap between the Bridgwater and Minehead groups.
We hope to have many interest groups ranging from walking, local history, bird watching, arts, card making, something for everyone.
For more breaking news please see our Facebook page
We had our second monthly meeting at Bicknoller Village Hall on Monday 23rd May week with a great turnout of 41 people including prospective new Members that will take our membership to nearly 60.
Please take a look at the Groups tab to see the Interest Groups that have started with their planned meeting dates.
Some Groups have yet to find a Leader to take the Group forward, if you think that you might like to volunteer, please contact the Chair to discuss this.
Most Groups would also welcome more membership – if any of these are for you please contact Memberships.
If you are already in a Group then the Group Leader should be in touch with you directly – if you think that you have been missed out then contact the Chair and they will ask the Group Leader to make sure that you are included.
See the Events tab for dates and venues for the monthly meetings in 2022 – please note the change in date to what was previously published for June and that there are no monthly meetings in August or December. A calendar of meetings in 2023 will be published later on this year.
