Calligraphy
We are pleased to announce that the Calligraphy Group is restarting, and that our wonderful tutor, Gillian King has made a full recovery from her hand operation.
We are planning to continue with basic Calligraphy sessions, but maybe introduce more variation, colour and design, maybe even subjects like heraldry. It is you, the members who will decide.
Until Gillian was incapacitated, this group was working well, with up to 14 members at one time. So if this appeals, please contact David Croxton, convenor and you would be welcome to join us for a ‘taster’ session, with only a share of the attendance cost of the location to pay for. Sessions are usually two hours and preference currently is for a mid week morning.
A dramatic example of Gillies work is attached, demonstrating the versatility of this ancient, relaxing and absorbing art.
