Art Appreciation
This group has been meeting on the first Thursday of the month since November 2016 in the convenor’s home.
For each year a member of the group picks blindly from the alphabet and the convenor selects artists, sculptors, photographers, etc. with this selected letter. A list is drawn up by the convenor and the members pick blindly from this selection. Each person takes a monthly slot to outline the chosen artist’s history, genre, technique, etc.
This system has worked well and encourages us to learn about unknown artists and others that we would not choose to study. It also means 26 letters of the alphabet - 26 years of study.
