HERITAGE VISITING GROUP

DESCRIPTION:
We visit museums, cathedrals, major historical sites and other heritage locations about a dozen times a year.
Whenever possible, guided tours are arranged. Visits usually include the chance to lunch in groups.
Upcoming programme is advertised in the Preston Park u3a Monthly Updates. All Preston Park u3a members are able to express an interest in any visit.

Email John Colman to reserve a space on any visit or to be put on the HVG mailing list. Bookings are made on receipt of your cheque (or payment) payable to “PRESTN PK U3A N2. Please read the full HVG booking conditions set out below. Visits are open to all members of PPu3a on a first come first served basis. Payment by cheque usually confirms your place on the visit.

Reservation, Booking & Visit Conditions
Please read all of these terms carefully before paying.
1) To check a visit’s availability, please contact John Colman by phone, email or at the PPu3a monthly meeting.
2) Reserving space gives you booking priority. Please pay at least 5 weeks in advance. You will be reminded by email.
3) A booking is only made on receipt of payment. Once booked, payments made are not normally refundable.
4) Cheques payable to “PRESTN PK U3A N2,. Send to John Colman. Visit name on reverse. separate cheques for each visit please.
5) BACS payments to sort code “20-12-75”, a/c no. “60860212”, a/c name “PRESTN PK U3A N2 ref. “Heritage”.
Please email both John Curwen and John Colman to notify them when you make a BACS payment.
6) All reservations and bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are not issued in advance.
7) Visits by coach are number limited; most other visits are not. If bus travel is used, please bring a bus pass or pay.
8) Reservations, bookings and payments will always be acknowledged. Final details will be emailed a week before a visit.
9) If you are likely to be away or out of contact in the 6 to 8 weeks before the visit, please pay before you go away.
10) Visits are for PP U3A members only but, at the group leader’s discretion, others may be invited to attend to fill spaces.
11) If a visit is cancelled or materially changed, we hope to refund your payment but this cannot be guaranteed.
12) There are often late withdrawals so it is worth asking to be on “standby” for fully booked visits.
13) Photos of visits are often taken and circulated. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please tell the visit leader.
