All you need is an interest in buildings old and new, their construction and their architects.
To make a varied mix, we use speakers, videos and DVDs, the occasional quiz and field trips in the area; but chiefly, however, we use ourselves. Sharing information makes a huge contribution to the pool of knowledge.
This group meets on Wednesday mornings. Occasionally the group go on an architectural visit and there are sometimes longer three-day visits further afield usually in the Spring eg. to London, where we stay in student accommodation to reduce costs.
These visits are very popular!
