Led by Jeanette Victor and Kay Boswell, the group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 10.15 a.m. at the Rugby Club. Its members are passionate about their gardens, and take turns to give a talk on their specialised subject. After the talk, members give questions to the speaker and then discuss their own problems and also provide useful tips to others in format similar to BBC’s “Gardener’s Question Time”.
Here are some of the monthly discussions we hold. These are led by any member of our group in turn.
Cuttings and Rootings - how to propagate plants.
Cooking with vegetables and history of our garden friends
We paid a vist to one of our members who needed advice on how to arrange and what to plant in her new garden.
Coastal gardening and what to plant at the seaside
How to manage Orchids
A talk on Hostas and what to do in March
A talk about allotments - Tuesday 26th March
How to grow beans and tomatoes
Edible Flowers - what to grow
IT WOULD BE NICE FOR NEW PEOPLE TO JOIN US AS WE'RE SURE YOU WOULD ENJOY OUR SESSIONS.
