Spanish (weekly)

Our Spanish Group continues to be very successful, with some of our members learning the language as a hobby and others to use it on trips to Spain or further afield. We don’t have a formal teacher but instead the group is lead jointly by Stella and Kath, both of whom have several years’ experience of the language and who enjoy helping everyone in their self-learning efforts.

Our current members are at varying levels and therefore we move along at a very easy pace. We use various ways to learn and although we have to bring in a certain amount of grammar, our aim is for people to feel confident with simple conversation so we usually work in pairs or threes to practice talking about everyday life and situations that might be useful in a Spanish speaking country. We’re a very sociable group and people clearly enjoy learning Spanish in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We’re always happy to welcome new members, whether they are complete beginners or at a more advanced level. If you would like more information on our group, please click the link to send an email.

We meet every Friday, 9.00-10.30am, in Café 50.
