Bird watching

The Bird Watching group meets at the Community Centre, usually on the 4th Wednesday of the month, at an agreed time and then travels to a site of interest. We are a sociable group of amateurs but sometimes lack the expertise needed to identify what we are seeing or hearing! For this reason we occasionally join other bird groups (eg Glamorgan Bird Club) on their trips which might be on a different day.

For each of our field trips, sturdy footwear is recommended and, if you have them, bring binoculars, a small bird book, a drink and a snack or sandwiches. The duration of each trip will depend on the weather and the bird life! If you need to be back by a specific time, please make that known before we start.

We are unable to meet on the 4th Wed in Sept so instead we will have a planning meeting on Wed 8th Sept at 10.30 am when we can discuss future walks. This will take place at Glen’s house so, if you would like to come, please let me know and I will send you her address. You can reach me Bird Watching Group Leader
