Tuesday, Week 3
St. Maurice Church Hall, Plympton.
10.00 a.m.

We explore the ancient world through ancient texts, artifacts and modern scholarship.

The intention is to develop a broad appreciation of all ancient civilisations, then a more profound understanding of chosen topics, mainly in the realms of the Classical Civilisation of Ancient Greece and Rome. While the long term focus will be on the Roman era of Ancient Britain, there will be the opportunity for any member to introduce any topic of their choice at any time. Questions and critical analysis are encouraged, with an aim to resolve unknowns by further research.

Methods of research are discussed so that all have the means to contribute if they wish. A CD player and large screen television are available, which will take a memory stick if members want to present digital images.
