The Group meets to explore the variety of gardens open to the public in Devon and Cornwall. We exchange our gardening views and knowledge as we walk and talk. These conversations are usually refined over afternoon tea and cakes!

Our visits are arranged throughout the growing season - Spring to Autumn.

9th Aoril, 2024.

At last, a fine and almost sunny day for our visit to Pencarrow.
This was our 3rd attempt at visiting the House and Gardens, the previous 2 attempts in 2023 sadly being 'rained off'.
14 of us enjoyed a day out at Pencarrow near Bodmin.
Some of the group joined a guided tour of the House and were impressed by the history and also the artefacts on display.
Everyone walked around parts of the garden, exploring the Lake area and the Iron Age Fort.
The staff in Peacock café were especially welcoming and refreshments and chat were enjoyed by all.

A Good Day out!

14th March 2024.
A hardy group braved the weather and had a very enjoyable visit to see the massed daffodils at Cotehele.
The rain held off, the flowers were beautiful, (apparently there are more than 300 varieties of daffodils at Cotehele) and we were delighted to witness a deer running through the orchard.
Coffee, cake and chat was also a must!
An excellent first Garden visit of the season.
