Special interest or small groups are a key element of the U3A, allowing members to come together, explore a topic of common interest or take part in a shared activity.

Learning is a social activity and our groups provide opportunities to come together and learn from each other.

There are no fees involved, though we do ask that members contribute where tea and coffee are provided. Some groups may require members to purchase books or equipment.

In addition to the groups listed below we also have a theatre going group, a garden visiting group, and an exhibition visiting group.

Our groups are lead by members and we are lucky to have many active members who have founded or now lead a number of groups. However as our membership grows we would like to offer more groups and we welcome suggestions for new groups. Offers to run these new groups would be especially welcome. Help will be provided to for new group leaders.

If you would like further information on any of the groups, then please contact the Secretary. We can then confirm the date and time and provide more details on what the group is currently focusing on. Groups which are full are shaded in grey.
