About the group:-
This is the first of two photography groups and we organise ourselves on the basis that we take our photos individually where and when we get the opportunity rather than on a fixed date as a group visit.
We meet monthly on the second Friday of the month at Swan Meadow in Pewsey and view our monthly efforts on the television after refreshments and some sociable chat.
We raise a list of themes for the year ahead and then endeavour each month to take 10 photos on that theme for uploading to the U3A web site. These will then be shown at the next meeting. Some photos provoke discussions and may include suggestions as to how to improve the photo. There is no formalised instruction although we are encouraged to develop our skills. There are no restrictions on ability, cameras etc: everyone with an interest in photography is welcome to come along and give it a try.Themes are set for each month of the year which allows members the opportunity to take photos of any of them at any time. Meetings include reviews and discussions of the current 'theme' allowing us to learn from each other. Occasional talks or workshops may also be arranged.
The group meets on 2nd Friday of the month at 10:15am or as advised.
