Recent News:-
The main aim, which seems to meet the overall expectation and wishes of members, is to expand their vocabulary and ability to become familiar with phrases and words for everyday use: how they look, sound, and the spelling.
Marie Neyroud’s humour and hospitality have ensured enjoyable mornings of French conversation since Pewsey Vale U3A began. We are tremendously grateful to her, whether we are those who enjoy holidays in France and wish to be able to understand and even speak a little French or those who already have some fluency.

In good French tradition “le café et les biscuits sont merveilleux”.
Moving forward, future sessions will be hosted alternately at 2 homes in Pewsey
We think perhaps that there might be interest in more French Conversation groups at different levels of fluency. Do you speak French well and would enjoy chatting over coffee to keep up your skills? Or perhaps, like me, you have rusty ‘O’ Level French and would like to turn it into something you could actually use? My friend Sandy used to say you can speak a language properly when you can a) make a phone call, b) tell a joke and c) swear at a taxi driver!
If you’d be interested in becoming part of a new group, please contact me, Group Leader Co-Ordinator and give me some idea of whether you’d be at the plume de ma tante level, rusty but could brush up quite quickly, or already reasonably fluent
