Away Days at Torridon
Nine members attended the away days, the weather was fine and the group stayed at Torridon SYA, which was well organised
Monday. Some of the group had a linear walk en-route to Torridon, from Invermoriston to Fort Augustus. One person did Ruagh stac Beag 896m at back of Beinn Eighe and two of the group also did a circuit of Loch Coulin and Loch Clair. The party finally gathered at 1900hrs at the hostel.
Tuesday. Five members climbed Beinn Alligan, including the horns. Three did Ben Damph 868m. from Torridon Inn car park while one person did the adjacent hill Beinn-na--h-Eaglaise 737m. They then met up and went to Sheildaig for snack at the nice coffee shop called Nanny's at south end of the village.
Wednesday. Two walked the two munros of Beinn Eighe from Coire Mhic Fhearchar trail and were very fortunate weather wise as it had been threatening to close-in. The rest of the group opted for the circuit of the coastal path at the south end of the Applecross peninsular and enjoyed stunning views across the water to the islands.
