We are a Gaelic Interest group, rather than a group aiming to learn the language. We meet on an ad hoc basis, sometimes to attend an event together, sometimes to have a house meeting, perhaps with a speaker. Our group is small, but we keep in touch with other groups in the area with similar interests.
In 2022-23, we attended ceilidhs, walks and concerts as they arose. We also had two really interesting house meetings. One was a highly informative talk on place-names by Dr Jacob King, and the other a very convivial house ceildih, led by a visiting Gaelic singer Linn Phipps. The group was also actively involved in the Mòd in Perth, helping out with stewarding, along with attending the many competitions and events going on.
