Our group is open to all painters, of any ability using any medium you like eg pencils, charcoal, watercolour, acrylics, oils. Experienced painters come to paint in company or to get extra practice; the inexperienced just want to get started and can find people to offer suggestions on materials and subjects.
If you want to have a go at painting/drawing, come along even if you haven’t painted before, or not since school, or want to start again. Bring your own materials but don’t worry if you haven’t got any. We can let you have paper and so on for that first occasion and advice on what you might get for future use. You will find people with a few years’ experience in watercolours, acrylics and pastels and who have had a go at most other mediums like oils.
Share with us the delicacy of watercolours, the vivid colours of acrylics or oils, the subtlety of pastels and the many qualities of other mediums.
During 2019-20 we have had a very full and enthusiastic class - 15 or 16 with other interested parties, though the classes had to be curtailed at the end of the session. Members range from those who have not painted since they were at school to the very experienced who have been painting for years. Everybody seems to get something out of gathering together to paint, to relax to socialise - to share and compare
