Who can join?
Anyone who is no longer in full time employment or is retired can join. All you need is interest and enthusiasm to join in activities, and a willingness to contribute. We have members, not students and we have no teachers - we learn from each other. If you have a skill or interest which you'd like to share with others, Perth U3A can provide the opportunity.
What does Perth U3A offer?
The purpose of the U3A movement is to enrich the lives of its members. Perth U3A seeks to do this by supporting about 60 different interests (click Groups to see a list). We also have a wide-ranging programme of Open Meetings and social events. Almost all our meetings are during the day, not the evening.
How do groups function?
Groups run themselves with a volunteer leader who acts as coordinator. Group meetings are held in our homes or other venues as needed. When you join, you'll receive a copy of our Programme, which includes contact details for group leaders.
What is the cost?
Membership of U3A Perth costs £25.00 a year (for 2019-20), and our membership year starts in August. The fee is reduced to £20 for new members joining after 1st January. There are no additional fees for group membership.
