We meet to enjoy playing the ancient game of backgammon, an exciting game that combines elements of both skill and luck. The rules are straightforward so those new to backgammon are soon playing and getting to grips with this wonderful game. The group welcomes players at all levels.
This past session we've discussed some of the strategies and rules of thumb that can improve one’s chance of winning. The dice often throw up difficult choices and we’ve talked through a number of interesting positions, trying to tease out the best choice of move.
However, above all, backgammon is a social game that can be enjoyed whatever ones level of expertise.
