Before the meeting, the group watches an opera online at home, then at the meeting we watch and discuss highlights from the same opera, perhaps a different performance. One benefit of this way of working is that we are able to study longer operas than if we watched a whole opera together during the meeting.
In 2022-23, we watched operas by Purcell, Verdi, Menotti, Britten, Mozart, Handel and bits of others. The group is relatively small with around 8 members attending regularly.
