Perth

Groups

See the Coronavirus and us page for information about our planning for next session in the light of the current coronavirus restrictions.

Members of Perth U3A can choose between more than 60 interest groups. To find out more about an interest group, click the relevant link below. Each group page has information about what the group does and a pigeon icon you can click to send a message to the leader asking to join the group. Before joining any group, you should be a member of Perth U3A (see the Join us page). More information about what groups do is contained in Group Reports 2018-19.

The Perth U3A session begins in late August and follows a 4 week cycle, apart from a break over Christmas and New Year, until the end of April. Click Dates of meetings 2020/21 to see dates planned for next session, subject to coronavirus restrictions. Some groups meet more than once per 4 week cycle and some groups, such as the walking groups, continue to meet over the summer months. For information about group meetings, click where and when groups meet, then click the group name.

New groups are formed as new interests arise and if existing groups become full. Members may join any group subject to a practical maximum limitation. If more members than the maximum want to join a group, a waiting list is created. An additional group may be formed once a minimum practical number is reached and if someone volunteers to lead the group.

If you have a suggestion for a new interest group, or want to your name to be added to the waiting list for a full group, contact the Groups Coordinator using the pigeon icon.
