We meet at the first church to be visited that morning for coffee and biscuits, a chat and look at the menu of the pub where we shall adjourn to at 1.00pm after our tour around the second church to be visited that day.
The focus is on the fabric of the buildings in question, rather than the monuments, unless they once served a liturgical function. Members are at times required to use prepared guidelines to help them formulate their own ideas about how the church acquired its present appearance and plan.
We have been meeting for 18 years, and visit churches of interest in the area, focusing on Medieval features. The visit often coincides with a good pub lunch too!
