A group for those interested in the use and abuse of the English language. Irritated by 'Americanisms', wonder about word origins, or just a language pedant? This is the group for you! To join the group, all you need is a mobile phone and access to WhatsApp. We don't have regular meetings, though that's a distant aspiration for the future. When members see an interesting or annoying use of language, they post it in the group WhatsApp for others to comment, and this can be done any time. Feelings often run high, and you always learn something.
