Conversational French

This is a very relaxed, friendly group where you are able to try out your understanding of French no matter how limited it might be. We are a mixed ability group, and believe that everyone can make a contribution, and that we can all learn from each other.

We meet at Elim Christian Fellowship, a church in Paisley, 20 Gordon street, every other Thursday at 11 a.m. Our first meeting in the new year will take place on 30th January, and we will watch a French film, "The Chorus".

We have been using a book called "15-minute French" to help us focus on the French needed for different situations (travel, shopping, etc.) and we have also been reading "Le Petit Prince" by St-Exupery. This is helping our pronunciation, as each member reads a passage out loud. Not compulsory if your French is very rusty - but that could have been said of most of us, when we started. (High school was a long time ago, when you are 60-something. :) ) If you have any questions, email Nancy by choosing the Conversational French button on our CONTACT page. A bientot!

(some may notice the accent circonflex is missing - can't use it here)
