Oldham & District

Striders

An intermediate walking group. Walks will typically be between four and six miles long with a stop for lunch. There may be some hills and stiles but we aim for the walk to be moderate. Walking boots and waterproof outerwear are essential and you need to bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Dates are varied each month, according to the preferences of the walk leaders.

Brief details of the date and location of walks are on the bi-monthly Oldham and District U3A Newsletter. We issue a 6 monthly programme to group members and send out a reminder notice for each walk about a week before the walk is due to take place. As we have no control over the weather, walks may vary from the information issued but the advised meeting place and time will not vary.
