Drawing and Painting

The drawing & painting group was started for people with a common interest in developing their artistic skills. The group caters for a wide range of expertise from absolute beginners to those with several years experience.

People are free to draw or paint whatever they like if that is their wish. However, for those at an early stage of learning the usual pattern is for a demonstration painting to be made for members to copy, with guidance if required. The initial demo paintings are extremely simple and easy to paint. As skills are developed, the complexity and difficulty of the demonstration painting is increased.

Working together, pursuing a common interest, watching how others solve problems is proving to be a pleasantly social way of developing artistic confidence and skills and could be the start of an absorbing hobby that will last a lifetime.

Meetings are on alternate Fridays at the Daisy Nook Garden Centre, 10 a.m. to Noon.
