Poetry Too

Group Contact: Jan Mabbott

Poetry We are a very relaxed and friendly group who enjoy sharing a love of reading and listening to poetry. At the start of each term members suggest poets or themes they would like to read and discuss, giving us plenty of time to prepare.

Every meeting a volunteer member introduces the subject, followed by each of us reading our two chosen poems during the morning, with a break for essential tea, coffee, biscuits and chat!

Our meetings are enthusiastic and informative, light-hearted or serious, often stimulating lovely memories, but most of all it is great company with lots of fun and laughter.
