Zoom

Zoom is a computer application that enables two or more people to hold a meeting in both sound and vision. It works with PCs, Apple Macs, iPads, other tablets, iPhones and other smart phones. The only requirement is that the device has a microphone, camera, speaker and screen. It can be used for meetings and for family and other gatherings.

Meetings are organised by a Host, who invites Participants to join a meeting by email or message. The basic version of Zoom limits meetings to 40 minutes. However Northwood & District U3A can set up longer meetings. Please enquire using the Envelope at the foot of the screen to send an email.

It is good practice – and sometimes crucial – that your Zoom app is up to date.
