Welcome to the Northwich U3A
We regret to announce that, with immediate effect, all Northwich U3A group meetings, monthly meetings, and trips & events have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus situation. We shall make further announcements when circumstances change.
U3A was found in 1979 and is now an international organisation. The UK’s U3A was founded in 1982 and there are currently over 400,000 members in over 1,000 branches. We are a self-help organisation which provides educational, creative and recreational activities in a friendly environment. In the UK the organisation consists of independent branches run by their members. Membership is open to all people over 50 who are not in full time employment. The Northwich branch was formed in 2000.
Northwich U3A is a lively organisation which currently has more than 30 groups and over 420 members.We keep ourselves active and enjoy learning in a supportive environment. Annual membership costs £12. Please get in touch with the membership secretary on the ‘Contact’ page for more information.
Groups welcome new members, so please contact the leaders of the groups for more details. A list of our groups can be seen by clicking on the ‘Groups’ button above. Then select the group name and contact the group leader via the pigeon post for more information on the activities of that group.
The main monthly meeting includes a talk where all members can meet, hear a speaker and enjoy tea or coffee together. This is held on the third Wednesday of the month at 2pm in Barnton Memorial Hall. Please click on the ‘Members’ Page’ for a list of coming events.
