Art Appreciation
We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Davenham Methodist Church Main Hall from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. The group provides an opportunity to discover, learn, share and discuss fine art in all its forms from any period, genre or part of the world.
Each month members share a favourite artist or some aspect of art, which they find interesting. This can be done in a variety of ways, for instance by giving a short presentation using books & other materials to illustrate the talk or using a projector & laptop to illustrate the subject.
Members sometimes team up to give a talk to support each other in gathering information and presenting the talk. There is always friendly help and advice (technical or informational) available if required. Resources can be obtained from the U3A library and members of the Art Appreciation group.
We welcome anyone with an interest in art who wish to contribute to this friendly and informal group of enthusiasts. It does not matter whether you are very knowledgeable or just want to find out more.
