Real Ale Appreciation

Northumbria Region U3A Real Appreciation Network

We are a group of u3a men who meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month for a chinwag and to savour an ale or two. We choose when and where to meet during the previous meeting. Choice of venue is based on personal recommendation, with food availability and the variety of real ales on tap a major determinant; Architectural merit and historic association also considered. We try to pick meeting places in various parts of the region, with the proximity of public transport a major factor.

Convivial conversation usually takes place, sometimes erudite but generally light-hearted.

There are people from a range of local U3As in the region who attend.

It is a must for all Real Ale lovers and blokes who just like to chat in Pubs. We have some members who are teetotal so drinking is not compulsory. Also no booking necessary, just turn up. Be assured you will be made to feel most welcome! If you would like any more information please contact Nigel Collins on 07806 778 632 by text or leave a message and I will phone back. Details of forthcoming meetings are below.
