YULE: Your University Lecture Enthusiast
During round-table discussions at the January 2019 quarterly meeting of NRU3A in Pity Me, several local U3A delegates felt that there should be much closer and more diverse working relationships with the five universities in the North East (Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside). Of course, over years, some local U3A initiatives and regional events have been planned and organised with those universities.
Role description:
To ensure that the many and varied Public Lectures and Events open to the general public, organised by one particular University are well publicised to U3As in membership of NRU3A
➢ by accessing the University website, during the middle of each month, to identify relevant news and information about events
➢ and editing/summarising the information and forwarding, in Word or pdf format, to the NRU3A Website Editor, Peter Barnett for him to upload onto the External Events page.
