All ABOUT US
Every u3a is a member of the Third Age Trust and across the 12 regions of the UK there are now over 1000 U3As, and over 300,000 members.
The North West Region of u3as includes the counties of Cheshire, Cumbria, and Lancashire plus the Metropolitan Boroughs within Greater Manchester and Merseyside and all contiguous Unitary Authorities. Our trustee is Neil Stevenson.
We are a very diverse and exciting region, including seaside resorts, rural farming villages and large metropolitan areas. We currently have 100 u3as with around 43,000 members. The u3as within our region are equally diverse, reflecting this diversity. We all have one thing in common: we all like to learn, to laugh and to live!

WHAT WE DO#
We are a charity whose purpose is to support the work of the NW trustee and all the u3as within the region. We were formed in 2009 and have an elected committee.
Our work tends to focus on helping u3as recruit members, develop their u3as, support events, and encourage the growth of networks and new u3as throughout the North West Region.
Currently our committee, working alongside our regional trustee, plan an extensive program of events, compile a list of recommended speakers and non-u3a events of interest to NW members, and provide general information and support to our u3as.

MEET THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE

Hobbies include music and languages, with a special interest in Japanese language and culture.
