When - 1st Wednesday of each month from 9.45 for 10.00 to 12.00/12.30 including a refreshment break.

The objective of each meeting is to ask a question or pose a viewpoint and to explore opposing views. A vote for and against will be taken at the beginning and end of each meeting to measure any change in views.

Meetings take place within a home environment; at the Group leader's home in Greet, nr Winchcombe.

Any topic may be discussed, however as one may expect, no comments deriding a member's views, however bizarre, will be tolerated. Topics will be decided by the group in advance to give each some thought.

All of us have thoughts and opinions, but many of us prefer to stay in the background and not express them. However, the Discussion Group offers the chance of meeting in a friendly environment, of listening to views expressed by others and if the mood takes, to express one’s own thoughts on the topic in question.

Of the half dozen or so meetings so far, most of us have learnt something, well for many quite a lot, and views have been broadened. It has been surprising how many topics sounded rather dull, yet having thought about each and done a little research, the group have found them to be informative, very interesting……….and enjoyable!

Why not join us and come to understand the day’s topic so much better? If you have a subject of interest or a bee in your bonnet come along and let us share your thoughts.’

‘With the U3A one can only gain!’
