I noticed on the Antiques Roadshow on Sunday they were encouraging people to play Golf Croquet, as well as Association Croquet. This was at a stately home. You don’t need to travel to a Stately Home, there is the Community Room in Willersey, at the Methodist Church – and behind there is the most lovely lawn, with a gorgeous view of the hill. Come and join us!

The first meeting of the 2016 season will be on Wednesday the 4th May

We play Golf Croquet, it is very easy to play; a bit like clock golf, or a putting green. gentle exercise, but improves concentration, balance and eye contact. So, good for us! Our equipment is kept in a new shed (called by the Croquet fraternity – a pavilion!). It’s a lovely spot, sheltered from wind an a good sized garden.

We do need a minimum of 8 people to go forward with the Croquet Group. If you think you would be interested to give it a go, please let me know that you are!

We look forward to you joining us for this lovely, gentle summer activity. The use of the kitchen, toilets, community room and of course the croquet lawn is included. Mallets, Balls, hoops and so on are all available with the lawn.

It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and we have seldom had to cancel due to the weather. Give it a try! There will be a tea break and plenty of chairs to sit and watch the play,

The croquet lawn is also available on most days if you would like to use it for family or friends, just contact Penny to arrange.
