New members are always welcome to join us

We are interested in all things related to the physical world around us, be it the Geology of the Earth, the study of Palaeontology or Astronomy to discover the further reaches of the skies. We also discuss the latest developments in the world around us.

Whilst some of our group have studied these in great depth, others of us are just starting on the journey of discovery on these subjects,so please come and join us.

2019

18th January A talk by Marylin Watts on The Evolution of Humankind

22th February, (note revised date) talk by Dr Nick Chidlaw on the geology of the Islands in the Bristol Channel, mainly Steepholme and Flatholm.

15th March, John Long will be giving us a talk on The Milankovich Cycles and their effects on the earth's climate.

19th April (Good Friday), Phil Hignett will be giving us a talk on Tethered Balloons

17th May, Birmingham visit

21st June, & 19th July.

There will be no meeting in August
