|THE NORTON RADSTOCK U3A HAS DECIDED TO SUSPEND ALL EVENTS, MEETINGS AND GROUPS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.|
|WE WILL TRY AND KEEP MEMBER UPDATED WITH ANY CHANGES.|
To the Members of Norton Radstock U3A,
As a result of the continuing difficulties cause by Covid-19, resulting in the postponement of the Annual General Meeting on 9th March 2020, it is now clear that alternative arrangements have to be made. Having due regard for the Constitution, and for the continuation of good governance, the Committee of Norton Radstock U3A, give notice that it intends to hold a virtual AGM just with the current Committee attending, and for the express purpose of electing a new Committee, and to carry out some other business as per the Agenda issued with this notice. The Nominees for the posts of Chair, and Treasurer and other vacant Committee posts are listed in the attached Committee Nominations. All posts are uncontested, and therefore election is not required.
Prior to the proposed virtual AGM to be held on 12th June 2020, the Committee wish to provide the fullest possible information to members regarding the management and proceedings of our U3A for the Year Ending 31 October 2019, and so a Trustees' Report has been prepared which encompasses the Officer's Reports, and this was approved by the Trustees on 15th May 2020. The report also includes the Financial Report on the Accounts as examined by Waldron and Partners in their Un-audited Accounts report to the Trustees. The Committee wish this information to reach as many members as possible, and so this e mail is being sent to individual members, and the information regarding the AGM can be accessed via the Norton Radstock U3A website by clicking the link below:
