Amateur Musicians

Contact: Valerie T 07889 660785 or 01637 852162(answerphone)

If you play any sort of instrument, either well or not so well, and would like to join a group of amateur musicians to learn some tunes to play together, please email stating your name, membership number, contact number and the instrument you play.

If we have enough interest we will find a venue to meet every month to see if we can form a band and play the tunes we have learned together.

It would be good if we can eventually be good enough to entertain the rest of Newquay U3A at our December General Meeting.

We have a keyboard available, we just need a keyboard player. Some people who have expressed an interest can play: viola, guitar, ukulele, euphonium, harmonica and accordion. Perhaps you just want to come along and join in with us using a percussion instrument such as a tambourine, drum, maracas, xylaphone or triangle. Can you play a recorder? We are not aiming to be an orchestra, just to have fun with some tunes.

Meanwhile, if you are a ukulele player, please have a go at playing this U3A Anthem:
