We like to be thought of as writers.
We're not pretentious,
Or even contentious,
Just a friendly bunch of blighters!
We may not write like Shakespeare,
Like Dickens, Byron or Poe;
If we get a yen
We pick up a pen
And then we just give it a go!
We don't always know what drives us
Or what gives us inspiration,
The Poetic Muse?
A bottle of booze?
Or an overheard conversation.

In our efforts at rhythm or rhyme,
