Gardening and Wildlife
Convenors: Gwyneth Hawkes and Jan Howell
Meetings: 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month during Term time 10.00 - 12.00
Anyone with an interest in gardening and/or wildlife, and is keen to improve their knowledge, is welcome. It is a friendly group and new members are welcome.
Members attend illustrated talks on all aspects of gardening and wildlife given by professional and amateur speakers. These are held on the third and fourth Thursdays of the month, during terms time.
We also organise a number of day trips to visit gardens of interest. Many of these gardens and wildlife venues are in private ownership or belonging to the National Trust. Usually the visits take place on the first Tuesday of the month. Details of the current outside visits to join in can be found on the notice board.
Costs: each member pays £1 entry to the talks. Costs for an outside visit vary from £15 - £25.00
