Gardening and Wildlife
Convenors: Gwyneth Hawkes, Julie Kennedy and Jan Howell
Meetings: 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month during term time between 13.00- 14:30
Anyone with an interest in gardening and/or wildlife, and is keen to improve their knowledge, is welcome. It is a friendly group and new members are welcome.
Members attend illustrated talks on all aspects of gardening and wildlife given by professional and amateur speakers.
We also organise a number of day trips to visit gardens of interest. Many of these gardens and wildlife venues are in private ownership or belong to the National Trust. Usually the visits take place on the first Tuesday of the month.
Costs: each member pays £1 entry to the talks. Costs for an outside visit vary from £15 - £25.00
