MOTO (Members On Their Own)
The aims of MOTO are to enable people who attend the U3A on their own for whatever circumstance will have a group, focal point of people who are there under the same circumstances as themselves.
This group is not designated as a group of people on their own although the name may imply that, these people are there because, their partner, husband, wife aren’t interested in U3A. They could be there because they don’t attend any other U3A group whereas their partners etc may do so, so their interests don’t coincide.
The organisation of activities will be left to the decision of the group, ideas will be put forward by members and then it is up to the other members to decide if they want to do that activity, the person who put the idea forward will then organise it.
The only real structure to the group is that we will meet twice a month on 2nd and 4th Monday of the month in The Royal Navy Club, Bellmans Yard, Newport from 11.00 to 12.30
