History (Local, English)
Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month between 2 and 4pm in members homes to study local and English history. Various topics are covered, usually concentrating on social aspects rather than wars and politics.
This is a successful group that has been loyal since the U3A started here in Newport. Members agree topics primarily from British history but individual interests and some broad subjects include international events eg. the current theme is the Inter War Years
