May 2021

After a long year without meetings, we may finally see some bowling action before too long. If all restrictions are lifted the Exning Road Club hopes to be able to welcome us back in July, although there is the possibility of a limit on numbers.

For those of you taking part in the Bowling break in November, our accommodation has been reserved and the balance of payment is due at the end of August but we will remind you of this nearer the time.

REPORT FROM POTTERS NOVEMBER 2019 TRIP (See Pictures!)

Twenty of the Carpet Bowls group recently returned from a midweek break at Potters in Norfolk where they participated in a competition among a total of 112 couples.

Most of our couples managed to win at least a couple of their first round games, in the round robin format, with one couple being eliminated in the first of the following knock out rounds.
When not playing bowls they were able to take part in other activities such as crazy golf, quizzes and bracing coastal walks. In the evenings some spent the evening in the theatre seeing a show, whilst others kept the competitive spirit alive and got together to enjoy Rummikub, Bananagrams, Cribbage, Yahtzee and Triominos.

This is the third time we have enjoyed this break together and plans are already afoot to repeat the visit in 2020. If you would like to join us you do not need to participate in the bowls competitions as there are plenty of other activities on offer throughout the day.
