Each month we decide on a recipe, bake it, then bring it to taste and chat.
New members (and the result of their cooking) will be very welcome.

The recipe for April is for an American style cheese ball
2 oz stilton ( or other strong blue cheese)
4 oz Philadelphia cheese
1 T finely chopped onion
1 T lemon or lime juice
Finely chopped nuts (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and form into a ball. Roll in nuts if used then refrigerate for 24 hours.
I will also try some homemade crackers as below
Artisanal Rosemary Crackers
1 ¾ cup all purpose flour
2/3 cup water
¼ cup olive oil
¼ t salt
1T chopped rosemary
Pre-heat oven to 220 C and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper
Combine all ingredients and knead until bread is very smooth ( about 5 minutes if done using a dough hook in a mixer )
Form into a ball, cover and let rest for 20 minutes
Roll into a log and cut into 8 even slices then cut each piece in half
Roll each piece out on a floured surface until very thin and transfer to baking sheet
Sprinkle with additional salt if required
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edged are just brown
