VILLAGE LIFE

This new group, a spin-off from our very successful Zoom group about scientific inventions based at the Whipple Museum in Cambridge, comes to Burwell Museum and begins on Tuesday 5th October at 10.30am.

We will meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at Burwell Museum.

Each one-hour session will follow a single theme, starting with ‘Toys & Games’, and followed with monthly themes such as ‘Transport’, ‘Shopping’ and ‘Education’.

The theme will be developed through items in Burwell Museum and these will be generally applicable to villages in this part of the country.

Over the year members will gain a knowledge and understanding of rural life in East Anglia down the decades.

Coordinator: Alison Giles are26@cam.ac.uk
