French Conversation

French language and culture for fun! We are an informal lively group who meet weekly to enjoy chatting in French over tea and snacks. We are mostly improvers/intermediate level so our group caters for all abilities above beginner. Like all U3A groups, we are self-programming, we are not a class and we do not teach.

Our group will enable those who have some ability to speak French to practise within a friendly and supportive environment. New members typically say they have not used their French since long ago school days - but it soon comes flooding back and their confidence develops quickly. We chat about a wide range of topics ranging from what each member is doing this week - to life, the universe, and everything.

We meet every Monday 1400 pm, except Bank Holidays: weeks 1 & 3 & 5 at U3A office in Pink Lane; weeks 2 & 4 at member's homes or a cafe. Please see U3A Newsletter or contact group leader for details.
