Gardening
The basis of the group is one of self-help, although outside speakers are invited to address some meetings during the year.
Members research topics and share the knowledge gained; we also share gardening problems and solutions. From time to time we have "trouble-shooting" sessions. Each year there are usually 2 - 3 outings to a place of horticultural interest - the last outing was to RHS Wisley, in July, which was enjoyed by Gardening group and u3a members. The tours around the garden by Wisley Guides was particularly appreciated.
We also visited 4 local gardens - all very interesting and informative!
