Newbury

Creative writing

The Group aims to encourage its members to make the best use of their creativity by developing various aspects of writing - e.g.descriptive narratives, character studies, denouements - each month and then discussing & constructively criticising them in the group.

Current activities include the development of various character studies & using them as the protagonists in a short story.

Longer term proposals include the production of a small book containing the various works of group members to be made available to the rest of Newbury U3A.

There may be room for 2 or 3 more members but overall group size has to be about 12 to ensure all present have a chance to contribute in the time available

  • When: 4th Tuesday in the month 10am - Noon
  • Venue: The Stone House on the Wharf
