Genealogy 1
This Group is open to anyone who is interested in investigating their Family History - from beginners to experienced researchers.
We are a friendly group with a common interest in discovering who our ancestors were and how they lived. We discuss our findings, share recent news from genealogy research resources and help each other with new approaches to finding answers.
Our meetings have 2 formats:
- a, Member updates - sharing progress, discoveries and tips; or....
- b, Thematic contributions - members share findings from their own family trees on the topic for the month. Potential topics include the sea, occupations, military service, places, crime and punishment, migration, preserving and organising photographs.
- WHEN: Third Tuesday monthly, 2.30 - 4.30 pm
- VENUE: Broadway House.
The group is currently full, but we do have a waiting list.
Please contact the Group Administrator, Claire, by sending her an email via the Blue Bird message box. Phone the Office on 01635 760346 or email office@newburyu3a.com
